Executive Summary: There is no violation of human rights which does not lead to psychological consequences for the victims who suffered them. Unlike physical sequelae, psychological sequelae do not disappear or disappear. The author was able to assess in Cambodia victims of the Pol Pot regime, who still had symptoms – major – 30 years after the commission of the facts. And in Peru, 20 years after the end of President Fujimori’s dictatorial regime, the findings were the same. It is important to know and take them into account.
