Abstract

By 2026, the international order is undergoing a profound systemic transition, marked by the erosion of unipolarity, the irreversible emergence of a multipolar world, and the return of war as an instrument for regulating power relations. Faced with the proliferation of hybrid and conventional conflicts, as well as the crisis of legitimacy of the institutions inherited from 1945, the global system must urgently reform its governance. Peace cannot be based on the status quo or on a single hegemony, but on a new equilibrium founded on multipolarity, a reform of multilateralism, the strengthening of diplomacy, and dialogue between civilizations, in order to manage power rivalries without eliminating them.
