Executive Summary: Human rights have become a reference in France and then in the West. But what rights for American Indians, massacred? For women? The colonized? The poor? And when the rules of international law ceased to suit him, especially after the end of the Cold War, the West ended up catiminily developing “rules” of its manufacture to enact its “values”, interpret international law with its sauce and ensure a certain “moral” magisterium in order to justify its hegemony. The West has since become accustomed to rewriting history, and to denouncing human rights abuses in poor, “failed” or “rogue” countries, which in passing diverts attention from those committed in Western countries. Above all, it is in the name of democracy, freedom and these same human rights that the West, guided by the United States, continually triggers new wars – with more enemies – while promoting peace. Finally, in Western doxa one never deals with a problem or conflict in its entirety, as this would make it clear that the aggressor is not the one one one thinks of. The Ukrainian war did not start in 2022, just like the one in Israel-Palestine did not start in 2023, the latter being clearly genocide in the sight and knowledge of the entire “international community”. There is an increasingly radical divide between the so-called “collective West”, belligerent and unsophisticated for its responsibilities, and a “South Global”, guided by Eurasian powers (Russia, China, Iran), which brings together the vast majority of humanity and does not expect anything from the West, which has become a counter-model.
