Executive Summary: A presentation of the role, lines of work, activities and vision of the Iraq Centre for Documentation of Crimes of Extremism, by Dr. Abbas Attiya Al-Qurayshi, on the occasion of the symposium organized by the Paris Academy of Geopolitics on “International responsibility for genocide” and war crimes, 24 September 2024. The aim is to identify and document these serious crimes, to conduct thorough investigations into these crimes and to build a comprehensive database of such crimes, to eventually become a solid reference that international and local decision-makers can use to suppress and prevent such crimes, or to raise awareness among young people and society of the seriousness of these crimes, in order to contribute to the creation of an enabling environment for social justice and sustainable development.
