Executive Summary: The statement by the President of the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq, Mr. Jassim Mohammed Aloumeri, on the occasion of the symposium “International responsibility in the face of genocide” organized by the Academy of Geopolitics of Paris on 24 September 2025. In his speech, he stressed the need to clarify and define the crime of genocide, whose elements and characteristics he described, and explained the role played by the Iraqi Constitution of 2005 in promoting social peace in the country.
